Rowing South Africa name coaching team

Following the announcement of Tiago Loureiro as the new RMB National Squad Head coach on the 16th September 2021, it gives me great pleasure to introduce the rowing community to the coaching team that will support Tiago for the next 12 months:

· Andrew Grant: Senior National Coach

· Grant Dodds: Technical Performance Manager

· Thato Mokoena: Head U23 National Coach

· Marco Galeone: Head Junior National Coach and Coordinator

· Paul Jackson: Senior National Technical Consultant

Each of the team members brings a wealth of experience to the RMB National Squad and I am looking forward working the team over the next 12 months.

Whilst the main aim of this team is to produce highly competitive national crews, with the ultimate goal of winning medals at World Championship and Olympic rowing events in the future, they will also have responsibility of fulfilling the ambitions of ROWSA and our principal sponsor, RMB, by identifying, investing in, and developing both athletic and coaching talent from all over our country.
