Gloucester and Socino sign new deal

Gloucester Rugby is delighted to announce that Santiago Socino has signed a new deal with the Cherry & Whites.

The Argentine international linked up with Gloucester Rugby early in 2020, originally on a deal until the end of the season. However, after settling into life seamlessly at Kingsholm, the hooker has extended his stay with the Club.

Socino, capped four times by the Pumas, has made an immediate impact in Cherry & White, having made 6 appearances since his arrival, including a try on his first start for the Club.

Head Coach George Skivington is pleased Socino has settled in so well.

“Santi has been a really good signing for us. He’s come in and bought in to exactly what we are trying to build here.

“He’s had to adjust fairly quickly, but I think his attitude has been spot on. He’s fitted in to the squad with ease, and we are all really pleased that he’ll be staying around as we continue to develop the squad for next season and beyond.”
